t wasn’t until a landslide destroyed her home that Susan gained first hand awareness of the traumatic effect on all aspects of her life in the face of a catastrophe. There are the physical realities of displacement, the emotional fears and grieving for what has been lost, and the mental challenge to find solutions. Recovery takes time and can be a roller coaster ride emotionally for months and years. Fortunately, Susan felt blessed with a strong support system to get through it and was able to find the people who would stand with her during that difficult time.
Fascinated when the process to rebuild after the landslide paralleled the steps of a creative process connected with the power of the mind, Susan set out to describe it. What happened next led her to greater depths of understanding as each next step was revealed and the corresponding life lesson revealed.
